The Montpellier management team is led by Stuart Pearson, an experienced chartered accountant who has been involved with advising small- and mid cap companies for over thirty years.
Prior to founding Montpellier Capital, Stuart was in professional practice specialising in corporate finance and latterly in advising companies smaller listed companies on their admission to AIM and strategic and funding advice thereafter.
Until September 2004, Stuart was a corporate finance partner with Baker Tilly, the seventh largest accountancy practice in the UK and for four years running the AIM Accountant of the Year (2003-2006).
Over the last five years Stuart has advised a number of smaller listed companies including Real Affinity plc, Global Marine Energy plc, Sovereign Oilfield Group plc, City Lofts plc, Imperial Energy plc, Argyll Consultancies plc, and a number of nationally operating private businesses such as Style Group UK Limited, LTT Vending Group Ltd, Pro-Fit International Limited and Zander Group Limited.
As well as specialising in listed companies, Stuart has also extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity funding and corporate disposals. He sits on a number of public and private company boards.
